Privacy policy

AccuRuler collects no personal data and transmits nothing.

• No analytics, ads, or tracking.
• The extension makes no network requests.
• Settings (ruler colors, contrast mode, units) are stored only in your browser's storage.sync area. Sync is provided by your browser and tied to your own browser profile; the data never leaves your device through AccuRuler.
• While the ruler is on, the extension can read the page you are currently viewing (via the activeTab permission granted by clicking the AccuRuler toolbar button). It does not read or transmit any page content.

Permissions

• activeTab — lets the ruler overlay appear on the tab you are viewing when you toggle it on.
• scripting — injects the ruler overlay into that tab.
• storage — saves your color and unit preferences.
